Role DescriptionConducting advanced technical reviews and problem resolutions, focused on improving performance levels of Network Security operations Design architecture for Network Security solutions.Lead Technical initiatives mandated by Sr. Leadership completed within scope and timelinesImplement Network Security Firewall solutions in a customer environment.Configuration and deployment of Network/Security firewall solutions based on specific project needs - Plan and perform upgrades. Install new FW equipment from many different vendors ( Palo Alto, Palo Alto - Prisma, Checkpoint, Cisco, McAfee, F5,Meraki)Provide technical escalation to L2 support engineersDetect security issues, create customer tickets and manage problems until closure.Act as point of escalation for the Network Security team and collaborate with internal NTTD services support teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.Ensure that Service Level Agreements and operational standards are met. Perform system maintenance, checkups and maintain current documentation. Provide resolution plans for device issues.Propose service, process and technical improvements to management. RequirementsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Ability to grasp complex issues to arrive at optimal solutionsStrong ethics and integrityFlexible to changing needs of customer, account and team Excellent customer facing communication skills, customer support and knowledge of ITIL best practices. Advanced experience and proven knowledge in at least 3 of different network security products likes Firewalls (Cisco, Checkpoint, Palo Alto, , Sonicwall), Content Filtering (Bluecoats, Websense, McAfee Web gateway) and IDS/IPS (Cisco Sourcefire, McAfee, Tipping Point, Snort)Advanced networking troubleshooting skills and extensive knowledge of web connectivity and protocols (WCCP, PAC files, TCP/IP, SSL, FTP, Telnet, SSH, etc.) Integration with authentication protocols such as LDAP, IWA, IWA-direct, SSO, Active directory. 8+ years of network troubleshooting experience and at least 6 years of Network Security administration and design experienceAtleast 1-2 Advanced level certification from Cisco, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, SourceFire (CCSE, CCIE, CCNP Security, PCNSE, CCSP, JNCIP, BCCPA, BCCPP etc)Excellent Time Management skills required to properly manage operations duties and other task that will assist in the optimization of the firewall teamAbility to chair bridge calls delegating tasks and drive to resolution Escalation calls for Technical Security issues collaborating with other support teams.
