The PTA works closely with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary care team to help residents achieve their highest level of function and independence.Essential ResponsibilitiesImplement individualized treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.Deliver skilled physical therapy interventions designed to improve mobility, strength, balance, and overall function.Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate observations, progress, and concerns to the supervising Physical Therapist.Accurately document treatments, progress notes, and other required clinical records.Assist the Physical Therapist with evaluations, assessments, and specialized treatment procedures as appropriate.Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, family members, and other healthcare professionals to support resident outcomes.Maintain therapy equipment and assist with the organization and upkeep of the therapy department.Participate in care conferences, team meetings, and facility in-service programs.Pursue continuing education opportunities to maintain clinical excellence and professional growth.Adhere to all Vertis Therapy policies and procedures, as well as state, federal, and professional practice standards.Perform other duties as assigned.RequirementsAssociate of Science degree in Physical Therapy Assistant.Current license or eligible for license under statutes in the state of practice.Prefer minimum one (1) year rehabilitation experience in setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility.Prefer active membership in the state and national American Physical Therapy Association.Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.Adequate computer skills in order to complete required job duties and computerized documentation.Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Physical Therapist and the policies and procedures of Vertis Therapy.
