About the Role

You will perform basic electrical design for midstream oil and gas projects under the direction of experienced electrical designers and engineers. Project assignments will include drafting electrical, instrument and control drawings. Will report to Manager, Electrical Designer.

What You’ll Do

• • Able to annotate and layout simple electrical, instrument and control drawings using Kahuna pre-developed tools with direction from experienced designers and engineers.
  • Ability to do basic 2D modeling using kahuna pre-developed tools with direction from experienced designers.
  • Able to take direction, learn standards and follow through with standard operating procedures.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of the workflow from beginning to end of a project.
  • Demonstrate ability to functionally communicate technical and administrative project/task details, including correspondence via emails and general documentation.
  • Organize and prepare drawings for delivery maintaining security and confidentiality in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate professional behavior around clients and vendors.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

• • Must be a self-starter with initiative, hard worker who can work with guidance from experienced designers and as a member of a team.
  • Must be detailed oriented, precise, organized in handling of drawings and able to prioritize and multitask as individual.
  • Able to take direction, learn standards and follow through with standard operating procedures.
  • High School diploma or equivalent and community college drafting/CAD courses preferred.
  • Basic computer skills and proficient in Microsoft office, Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD®, Bluebeam Revu.
