Work with TI teams, customers and external partners around the world to design, build, qualify and support our industry-leading analog and embedded processing products. As a product, test and validation engineer, you play a vital role in assuring the quality and performance of TI's innovative IC products.From test software and hardware development, product debugging and test optimization – you help ensure our products are consistently competitive and leading in the market. In each of these roles you'll dive deeper into manufacturing, quality, design verification or validation engineering.In this role, you'll support the development and implementation of strategies that achieve profitability targets on assigned TI product lines through new product development, cost reduction, capacity expansion and yield enhancement projects. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for all operational aspects related to your assigned product portfolio, resolve customer quality and application issues, and facilitates cross-functional teams for problem solving. You'll also take a leadership role to establish relationships with key contacts in TI wafer fabrication and assembly manufacturing sites to ensure strong communication and effective problem solving.Product engineering concepts:Data analysis knowledgeManufacturing systems knowledgeProduct qualification and reliability tests and their implicationsDevice failure verificationTest engineering concepts:Knowledge of basic test conceptsUsing automated test equipment (tester, tester h/w and s/w interaction)Hardware design and software developmentVerifying capability& releasing to manufacturingBench setup – verification/characterizationValidation engineering concepts:Validation Concepts knowledgeUsing Bench SetupsHardware design& software developmentDevice debugAs a Product, Test or Validation Engineer, you will also get exposure to each of these roles through formal learning, projects and on-the-job development experiences that will help you broaden your knowledge and accelerate your growth and success at TI.Put your talent to work with us as a Product, Test or Validation Engineer!QualificationsMinimum requirements:Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related fieldCumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA or higherPreferred qualificationsBasic understanding of schematics, layouts and digital componentsKnowledge and understanding of analog circuitry (examples include: op-amps, DC/DC power, data converters, sensing, etc.)Programming skills in C/C++ (LabView recommended)Experience with lab equipment, like oscilloscopes, along with soldering and debugging skillsAbility to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders critical to success, both internally and externallyStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to quickly ramp on new systems and processesDemonstrated strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functionsAbility to take the initiative and drive for resultsStrong time management skills that enable on-time project deliveryAbout the organizationTI does not make recruiting or hiring decisions based on citizenship, immigration status or national origin.
