Retail Merchandising & Display Technician

The Retail Merchandising & Display Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing in‑store displays and fixtures. This role focuses on planogram resets, troubleshooting display issues, and supporting the in‑store prescription drug collection program. It is a full‑time position with variable weekly hours based on business needs, ranging from 0 to 40+ hours. Troubleshoot and resolve display issues to ensure full functionality. Lead and coordinate teams on multi‑rep projects that may involve up to 120 miles of travel. Meet ad hoc maintenance requirements, including: Store service within 48‑72 hours of a request. Independent troubleshooting and repair of display issues using parts provided. Travel up to 120 miles with paid drive time and mileage per company policy; overnight travel may be required. Work a minimum of 32 hours per week with potential to increase to 40–50+ hours; standard schedule Monday‑Friday 8:00 a.m., with occasional weekend assignments. Report status of each store visit accurately. Perform merchandising functions such as planogram resets, POP updates, and correct pricing/signage maintenance. Build relationships within the store and participate actively in weekly conference calls. Complete administrative tasks, including scheduling reports within 24 hours of program launch and reporting visits by project end date. Other tasks as requested by management. Prescription Drug Collection Duties Collect prescription drugs placed in store‑designated take‑back containers, secure the bag with a zip tie, and store it in a holding area. Interaction is limited to the pharmacist and/or store leadership. Experience and Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience building displays, fixturing, and monitor cabling/connectivity. Experience using tools required to maintain displays. Experience troubleshooting and fixing display issues, such as light fixtures, malfunctioning buttons, software reboots, and electronic component connectivity. Skills and Attributes Good verbal and written communication skills. Detail‑oriented and highly organized. Ability to independently manage an account base and read schematics. Professional demeanor at all times. Proficiency in using a personal smartphone/tablet with GPS to upload photos, report assignment data, and reference documents while in‑store. Driver’s license and reliable transportation with ability to drive pursuant to company guidelines. Commitment to complete the minimum weekly or special project hours for the market area. Basic toolkit of hand tools (multi‑screwdriver, torx bit set, hammer, drill, allen wrench, etc.). Completion of required paid training before conducting visits. Physical Requirements Regularly stand, walk, bend, reach overhead, crouch, kneel, balance, grasp, push or pull, talk and/or hear, and drive. Lift and carry supplies up to 10 lb, regularly up to 30 lb, frequently up to 40 lb, and occasionally up to 100 lb with assistance. Work 8‑hour resets when necessary. Climb ladders over 10 ft tall. Continuous hand/eye coordination and fine manipulation. Complete and pass certification in the use of machines such as Big Joe/Little Joe (and possibly forklifts). Occasional travel by flight or other modes of transportation.
