Details Work in the 15-bed Cardiovascular Surgical Step-Down Unit (CSSU) at a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Level 2 Trauma Center Patient ratio of 4:1 with 1-2 LNA support staff Uses GE monitors, Hamilton Bipap and Hiflo, Baxter IV pumps, and Hemosphere equipment Documentation completed in Meditech Expanse Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM Scheduled for 12 shifts per month (3 shifts weekly) including 4 weekend shifts per month Floating required on a rotation basis with travelers floating first Cares for pre-op and post-op cardiovascular and vascular surgery patients Requirements Active RN license (NH or Compact) currently in hand Current BLS and ACLS certifications Minimum 1 year of recent experience in telemetry/PCU specialty Strong telemetry skills required Experience titrating vasoactive medications such as levophed, phenylephrine, dopamine, and dobutamine required Chest tube experience required Arterial line, Flo-Trac, and temporary pacing experience preferred Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months Additional Information Perform temporary pacing, pre-op preparation for cardiovascular surgery, and chest-tube and arterial line removal Patients are monitored via a central monitoring station Support provided by a mobility team Bedside shift report and MyCare board updates completed at each shift change Scrubs required as part of dress code (any color) Local candidates are not accepted for this position American Traveler Job ID P-739025.
