The Strategic Program Manager role serves as a strategic execution partner, reporting to the General Manager of Grand Hyatt Scottsdale. The role translates the hotel's priorities, particularly CAPEX, operational improvement, owner commitments, and corporate initiatives, into an integrated plan with clear outcomes, accountable owners, milestones, and decision points. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of strategy, hotel operations, owner relations, and project management. A successful candidate will bring the commercial judgment of an operator, the discipline of a program manager, and the entrepreneurial orientation to design simpler, faster, AI-enabled ways of working. The role will work closely with the Hyatt Americas Strategic Program Management team to connect property execution with enterprise priorities. Qualifications:
•Strategic Alignment: Translate hotel, owner, Hyatt, and corporate priorities into a focused property agenda; clarify what must be advanced, maintained, delegated, or stopped. •CAPEX Program Leadership: Establish and manage the integrated plan for approved capital projects, including scope, budget, schedule, dependencies, risks, decisions, vendor coordination, and stakeholder communications. •Program Management: Define outcomes, deliverables, milestones, owners, KPIs, and governance for priority initiatives; maintain a single source of truth in an agreed platform. •Workstream Support: Supports Business Leads to establish output scope (outcomes, deliverables, schedule, staffing, KPIs, etc...) for high priority organizational initiatives. •Risk Management: Manages issues, risks, and dependencies across the Essentials portfolio of workstreams; anticipates and resolves roadblocks and identifies opportunities to maximize shared resources. •Corporate Initiative Connectivity: Serve as the property connector to Americas and corporate initiatives, translating enterprise programs into property actions and bringing field insight back into program design. •Tools Optimization: Maintains and optimizes internal productivity, communication, and feedback tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, HyattConnect, Qualtrics, Mural); provides training for all team members. •AI, automation, and solution design: Identify repetitive work and create practical AI-enabled workflows, reporting, and decision-support tools that improve speed, quality, and capacity while respecting company policies. •Change Management & Communication: Works with organization leaders and change management specialists to develop change management strategy and execute change management and communication campaigns •Demonstrates a commitment to Hyatt core values (included in all job descriptions). •The position responsibilities outlined above are in no way to be construed as all encompassing. Experience •2 years of experience in management consulting, strategy, business operations, finance, or a related field •Demonstrated experience solving complex problems through structured analysis and developing actionable recommendations •Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to synthesize information and present clear conclusions •Experience working effectively across teams and managing multiple priorities •Hospitality or travel industry experience preferred, but not required Education and Expertise (i.e. certificates, licenses, etc.) •4-year college degree •Highly proficient in different AI capabilities, Excel, PowerPoint and other project management software
