About the Position

Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS Must-Have: Candidates must have experience recovering post-cath patients (no sheath removal) and pacemaker placements. Experience with stroke patients, amiodarone drips, and Cardizem drips is required. Description: The unit has a total of 36 beds and a staff of 70. The day shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 9 RNs/LPNs, and 3 Patient Care Technicians. The night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 8 RNs/LPNs, and 3 Patient Care Technicians. Patient ratios are maintained at 4 to 5 patients per nurse. The unit is equipped with Pyxis, Alaris pumps, and Welch Allen vital machines. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates should have a strong sense of teamwork and thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Preferred skills include NIH certification. Floating may be required to other telemetry departments and medical-surgical units. The dress code for registered nurses is grey scrubs. Weekend shifts will include three shifts in a four-week schedule, with specific days assigned.
