• Beds: 28
• Patient Ratio: 1:2, 1:1
• Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS (CCRN preferred)
• Patient Population: Cardiac, Vascular, & Thoracic Surgery; ECMO; LVAD; Heart Transplants
• Required Experience: Recent CVICU experience with the above patient population is required.
• Drip Titration: Yes
• Common Drips: All critical care drips, including inotropes and sedation
• Leadership Coverage: 1 Charge Nurse and 2 House Supervisors
• CNAs: 1–3 on the unit
• Provider Coverage: Intensivist and Advanced Practice Providers available 24/7
• Respiratory Therapy: 24/7 coverage
• Equipment: Ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and other ICU respiratory equipment
• Telemetry: Yes. RNs must be able to interpret telemetry strips.
• Available Shifts: Days, Nights, or Rotating (please specify desired shift when submitting)

Weekend Requirements

• Day Shift: 3 "S" days
• Rotating: 3 "S" days
• Night Shift: 2 "S" days
• Plus 1 Friday and 1 Monday
• Weekenders are exempt from the Monday requirement.
• Travelers may be scheduled for additional weekends based on unit needs.

Holiday Requirement

• Travelers participate in the permanent staff holiday rotation.
