Client Overview: Vernovis is partnering with an organization seeking an experienced IT Business Analyst to define business requirements, support application initiatives, collaborate with service providers, and guide projects throughout the Systems Development Lifecycle. What You’ll Do: Partner with business stakeholders and subject-matter experts to identify business needs, define project scope, and document functional requirements. Facilitate discovery sessions and workshops to gather detailed requirements, develop use cases, and map current-state and future-state processes. Manage requirements from initial assessment through solution design, testing, implementation, and deployment while maintaining end-to-end traceability. Collaborate with IT teams, service providers, vendors, and business partners to align expectations, deliverables, and project timelines. Support solution assessment and validation by developing acceptance test plans, assisting with test scripts, and evaluating whether proposed solutions satisfy business requirements. Review operational incidents and service requests, facilitate performance meetings, and prepare status updates for IT and business leadership. Coach and provide daily guidance to less-experienced Business Analysts while promoting consistent use of established tools, templates, and processes. Identify process-improvement opportunities, evaluate new products and systems, support RFIs and RFPs, and develop procedures or training materials for end users. What Experience You’ll Have: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. At least four years of experience with business modeling concepts and business application development, including serving as a Business Analyst on two to three medium or large projects. Experience throughout the SDLC using Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid delivery methodologies. Strong knowledge of requirements elicitation, process interviewing and mapping, project scope documentation, business-case development, and modeling techniques. Demonstrated ability to lead and coach Business Analysts while effectively collaborating, negotiating, communicating, and resolving problems across stakeholder groups and service providers. What Experience Is Nice to Have: CCBA or CBAP certification. Experience working within hybrid Agile or iterative development environments. Experience with testing and development tools such as qTest, HP ALM, and Jira.
