Casual Staff Physicians The Department of Emergency Medicine, McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston is seeking Internal Medicine board-certified/eligible candidates for casual staff physicians in our Hospitalist Division. McGovern Medical School is the sixth-largest MedicalSchool in the U.S. and first in the number of healthcare graduates in Texas. Our Hospitalist service follows a traditional 7-on/7-off block schedule with night and weekend coverage across the clinical team. Our primary clinical site is Memorial Hermann Hospital (MHH) in the Texas Medical Center (TMC). Position Key Accountabilities: Providing clinical services at Memorial Hermann, Texas Medical Center, including care and supervision of acutely hospitalized patients. Delivering direct patient care and educating medical students and residents. Reporting directly to the Medical Director. Qualifications: MD/DO Board-certified or eligible in Emergency Medicine Licensed or eligible for full medical licensure in the State of Texas. Practice high-quality, evidence-based medicine in a manner that supports the needs of the patient Residency Requirement: Employees must permanently reside and work in the State of Texas.
