The Opportunity

A leading financial services advisory firm is seeking an entrepreneurial Managing Director to build and scale its FinTech practice.

This role is focused on high-profile growth in the Fintech space.

You will shape the firm’s FinTech strategy, develop new propositions, create strategic partnerships and drive significant revenue growth across the banking and financial technology ecosystem.

Working closely with the Chief Growth Officer and wider executive team, you will establish the business as a recognised market leader and trusted adviser to financial institutions, FinTech companies, executive teams and boards.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and execute the firm’s FinTech growth strategy.
• Lead senior-level business development and secure new client relationships.
• Build strategic partnerships across banking, payments and financial technology.
• Identify emerging market opportunities and develop new advisory offerings.
• Expand the firm’s industry presence through conferences, publications, executive forums and professional associations.
• Work collaboratively across consulting, sales, marketing, product, operations and research.
• Recruit, coach and develop a high-performing FinTech team.
• Personally lead strategic client opportunities while building the capability of the wider team.
• Translate strategy into measurable revenue, profitability and market-growth objectives.

The Successful Candidate

You will be a commercially driven and highly connected financial services executive who enjoys building businesses, teams and new capabilities.

You are likely to bring:

• At least 15 years’ leadership experience within FinTech, banking technology, payments, digital banking or financial services.
• A strong network of senior relationships across banks, financial institutions and FinTech businesses.
• A demonstrable record of building business units, practices or growth initiatives.
• Proven success selling complex services or solutions to C-suite executives and boards.
• Experience developing strategic partnerships and entering new markets.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to identify and convert market opportunities.
• Excellent executive presence, with the confidence to represent a business in the boardroom and at major industry events.
• A collaborative, player-coach leadership style.
• The operational discipline to turn strategic plans into measurable results.
