Medical Assistant - Primary Care

Assist with direct patient care and perform routine specialized medical procedures according to established clinical protocols Assist medical and nursing staff with patient examinations and treatments Room patients and measure and record vital signs Complete patient interviews and histories Prepare patients for examinations, tests, and treatments and explain procedures Assist with physician-ordered procedures, examinations, treatments, and special tests Set up equipment and prepare medical treatment rooms Collect blood, urine, and sputum samples and perform routine laboratory tests Manage and organize the medical office inbox Receive incoming patient information and gather necessary data for healthcare providers Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent One of the following: diploma from a Medical Assistant Program; minimum of 1 year of medical assisting experience; Military Medic training; EMT-P (Paramedic) training; or equivalent of 1 year combined relevant medical assisting experience and education Medical Assistant Certification preferred Ability to provide direct patient care and assist medical and/or nursing staff Ability to measure and record vital signs Ability to complete patient interviews and histories Ability to prepare patients for examinations, tests, and treatments Ability to collect blood, urine, and sputum samples and perform routine laboratory tests Ability to manage and organize a medical office inbox and handle patient information Core Competencies Demonstrates proficiency in direct patient care, including vital sign measurement, patient interviews, and laboratory sample collection.
