The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Android application architecture and will thrive in a collaborative environment.You'll have...Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.8+ years of software development experience, particularly in Android application development and experience working on AOSP-based platforms.Strong expertise in Java and Kotlin; familiarity with C/C++ or Rust is a plus.Deep understanding of Android application lifecycle management, services, and IPC methods (Binder).Experience integrating Android applications with hardware-backed services and platform APIs, including consuming HAL-backed functionality exposed to the app layer.Familiarity with Android Interface Definition Language (AIDL) for consuming and managing IPC mechanisms within applications.Proficient in using modern development tools and methodologies, including Agile practices and CI/CD pipelines.Proven ability to analyze and optimize application performance while prioritizing an exceptional in-vehicle user experience.You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!As an established global company, we offer the benefit of choice.
