Hardware Engineer

Responsibilities Develop, improve, and qualify new and existing equipment, software, and processes. Collaborate with functional groups locally and globally to design, develop, and qualify equipment, processes, and software; establish roadmaps, strategies, and new equipment capabilities that enable business objectives. Perform continuous gap analysis between existing test capabilities and product roadmaps to identify development opportunities. Research industry capabilities and trends, and regularly conduct equipment benchmarking. Establish and maintain key technical roadmaps in conjunction with other engineering groups. Lead worldwide projects from definition through first‑of‑kind deployment into production. Coordinate with key partners—including BU, PE, site, and finance teams—to establish project business value using approved methodology and techniques. Provide automated test equipment and process development for new technology and manufacturing applications, and improvements that will deploy to all Micron test locations worldwide. Conduct controlled evaluations and design experiments needed to understand the product, process, material, and equipment limitations. Identify and resolve the origin of deviations, isolate causes, and provide solutions. International travel required up to 25% of the time. Qualifications and Required Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Experience in mechanical design. Mechanical finite‑element analysis (FEA) simulation. Design of experiments (DOE). Interference and risk analysis of technical designs. Technical documentation and presentation. Project management. Data extraction and analysis.
