Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments for elderly residents, accurately identifying their unique psychological and emotional needs.

  • Provide individualized and group counseling sessions tailored to address emotional struggles, including grief, anxiety, and depression linked to aging.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to craft personalized care plans that encapsulate the physical, emotional, and social needs of our clients.

  • Lead educational initiatives for families and staff, equipping them with strategies to improve well-being and enhance the quality of life for elderly individuals.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role specifically targets senior clients at various stages of life, many facing emotional or mental health challenges as they navigate the aging process. Your work will involve engaging with clients living with conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease, depression, anxiety, and adjustment disorders related to life transitions. Understanding the nuances and unique sensitivities of geriatric care will be critical to fostering meaningful relationships and providing impactful support.

Qualifications\n

  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.

  • A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) designation required.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, new hires will be eligible for a sign-on bonus as part of our commitment to attracting top talent in geriatric mental health.
