About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Room Profession: RN - ER Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: At least one year of Registered Nurse experience within the last 24 months and acute critical experience within the last 12 months, or EMT and ED Tech with a minimum of 2 years of experience. License: Current license as a Registered Nurse. Certifications: Evidence of current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification. MICN desired to be completed within one year of hire. MICN, NRP, TNCC, and CEN encouraged and recommended. Must-Have: Basic computer skills. Description: This position requires the ability to perform successfully as a Registered Nurse in an emergency department setting. Associates must receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply. Employees must conform with all HIPAA and confidentiality regulations as required by the job. The job requires frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, reaching above shoulders, sitting, walking inclines and declines, standing, talking, hearing, and performing repetitive hand motions. Vision requirements include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. Employees must demonstrate a pull lift of 50 pounds from the floor. There is potential exposure to blood and body fluids while performing tasks and procedures. The position serves a diverse patient age group, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Employees must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to assess and provide care appropriate to the patients served. They must maintain accurate and continued nursing documentation including patient histories, conditions, treatments, and responses. Employees are expected to maintain current knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on the age of patients and their clinical conditions. Willingness to perform other duties and innovations as assigned is essential for this role. Standing, sitting, and providing care service requires physical endurance and a professional demeanor.
