Job Title: RN - Medical/Surgical
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico 87505
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift/Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Nights; Full Time; weekend requirement; on-call requirement 2-4 shifts/month; no blocked scheduling; floating to all Med/Surg departments

Job Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care using the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Provide routine and complex care to assigned Med/Surg patients.
Administer medications and treatments per protocols and monitor effectiveness/side effects.
Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
Address patients' psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs.
Educate patients, families, and caregivers and identify appropriate resources.
Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers.
Float across all applicable Med/Surg departments.
Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:5-6.
Use EPIC EMR and follow grey scrub dress code.

Requirements:

Current New Mexico RN license or active Compact RN license.
BLS certification through AHA required.
1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred.
BSN preferred.

Preferences:

Med/Surg nursing experience.
EPIC experience.
Ability to work nights, weekends, on-call shifts, and float between Med/Surg departments.
