Job Brief
Kable Workforce Solutions is hiring a Welder/Fabricator for our client. This role is responsible for fabricate and weld custom structural components from engineering drawings while ensuring dimensional accuracy, weld quality, and compliance with AWS standards.

What’s a Typical Day Like?

• Fabricate and weld structural components such as beams, tongs, C-hooks, and specialized mill equipment from engineering drawings.
• Perform structural welding on carbon steel using SMAW and MCAW processes to AWS standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols.
• Perform layout, fit-up, grinding, and dimensional inspections of fabricated parts.
• Inspect completed work for weld quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized fabrication work area.

What Are the Requirements of the Job?

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of structural steel welding and fabrication experience.
• Experience with SMAW and MCAW welding processes.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols.
• Experience with layout, fit-up, grinding, and inspection.
• Ability to fabricate structural components from engineering drawings.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work safely in a fabrication shop environment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to reach, grasp, hold, push, pull, bend, twist, squat, climb, kneel.
• Ability to utilize hand/eye coordination.
• Communication skills.
