ER Physician (Locum) – Level 2 (URGENT)

Facility: W. W. Hastings Hospital (Cherokee Nation Health Services)
Location: Tahlequah, OK
Setting: Emergency Medicine (Level 2 ER Physician Coverage)

Contract Details

• Type: Locum / Contract

• Start Date: 20 Jul 2026

• End Date: 24 Oct 2026

• Hours: 12-hour shifts

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week

Pay

• $135 – $250/hr

• Weekly Pay (36 hrs/week):

  • $4,860 – $9,000/week

Competitive pay offered and determined by experience, specialty skills, credentials, and employer criteria. Final rate is set by the facility based on candidate qualifications and assignment need.

Required Credentials

• Active Medical License (OK or eligible for locum privileges) required

• Board Certified / Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (preferred/required depending on credentialing)

• ACLS certification required

• ATLS certification strongly preferred (or required depending on privileging)

• PALS certification preferred/required depending on scope

• ER physician experience required (Level 2 trauma/emergency setting preferred)

• Ability to manage acute emergencies independently

• Strong procedural ER skills (airway, trauma, critical care stabilization)

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care in Level 2 ER setting

• Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and trauma cases

• Perform emergency procedures (airway management, stabilization, etc.)

• Manage high-acuity patients and critical cases

• Collaborate with nursing staff and specialists

• Ensure timely and accurate documentation

• Support patient flow and emergency department efficiency
