Job Description/Responsibilities Join Sazerac as an Equipment Packaging Engineer and play a key role in advancing world-class packaging operations across our network. This role partners across engineering, operations, and leadership teams to drive capital projects, improve system performance, and standardize best practices. You’ll contribute to high-impact initiatives involving high-speed bottling, packaging systems, and finished goods handling while supporting Sazerac’s continued growth. What You’ll Do: Lead and support capital projects focused on bottling, packaging, and material handling systems Serve as a technical resource for process optimization, troubleshooting, and performance improvement Develop functional design specifications (FDS), cost models, and support vendor selection Partner cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and standardization across sites Support capacity planning, process documentation, and long-term engineering initiatives Qualifications/Requirements Required: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Systems, or related field) 2–7 years of engineering experience, preferably in manufacturing or process-driven industries Experience leading capital projects, process improvements, or change management initiatives Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Ability to work full-time onsite and travel up to 50% (sites in KY & IN) Preferred: Experience with high-speed bottling, packaging systems, or material handling equipment Background in food, beverage, distilling, or similar regulated industries Project management or continuous improvement certifications (PMP, Lean Six Sigma, etc.) Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to work near moving mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment Culture and Benefits Culture and Benefits: Sazerac offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid time off, and more. Final compensation will be based on relevant experience, qualifications, geographic location and internal pay equity considerations.
