About the Position Part‑Time: 3 days a week, 8a-4:30p The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for enhancing the overall Resident experience by ensuring all areas of the community are neat, orderly, and welcoming for guests. The attention to detail and cleanliness of the community is paramount in delivering on the level of service Grand Living promises to its residents and their family members. The Housekeeping Assistant is to model The Sterling Touch friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner, resulting in a very high level of Resident satisfaction while providing housekeeping services and upkeep of all common areas and resident apartments. The Housekeeping Assistant position is under the general guidance of the Director of Environmental Services in accordance with Community standards, processes, procedures, practices, and philosophies. Qualifications and Requirements The Housekeeping Assistant must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities: High School Diploma or GED, preferred. Ability to read, write and speak the English language sufficiently to communicate with Residents, guests and fellow employees; to explain and record Resident requests, comprehend work requests, differentiate individual linen use and care, product labels, Community communications. Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extending arms overhead to perform cleaning tasks, and work in narrow and confined spaces. Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods of time. Ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds and push or pull carts weighing up to 50 pounds.
