Apply here today!Oklahomans Feeding Oklahomans.Dairy ManagerPrimary responsibilitiesTo initiate and/or make recommendation regarding the hiring, firing, discipline, promotion and evaluation of all Dairy Department personnel. To orient and train all new Dairy Department employees and retrain employees when necessary.To develop a weekly labor schedule for all Dairy Department employees for the approval of the store manager.Maintain company standards for perishables and stay up to date on all active safety proceduresTransportation and stocking of goods within departmentEnsuring Health and Safety Codes, checking for pricing and expiration, and maintaining an organizational standard area.To check, record, and retain cooler/freezer temperatures and maintenanceTo follow the weekly display plan for case merchandising and ad promotion.Stay up to date and in congruence with Health and Safety standards, as well as holding a working knowledge of cleaning supplies and various chemicals and machines within the departmentTo order all dairy products and supplies from authorized vendors to minimize out-of-stocks while maintaining the desired bakery turnsAbility to comprehend and provide complex verbal instructions and descriptions concerning store policy and procedures, and usage of equipment.To supervise/perform organize the cooler/freezer/preparation area for receipt of merchandise, verify the merchandise against the invoice, inspect the delivery for shortages/damage and quality, sort cases for stocking or product preparation and code-date all case items in the cooler/freezer.SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Dairy Department Manager reports directly to the Store Manager.QualificationsBasic Mathematics (Add, subtract, multiply, divide)High School Diploma or EquivalentPrior supervisory experiencePrior dairy experienceSpecific tasksLift, twist, move and carry a maximum of 50 lbs., from the floor to shelving, or overhead racks in the store and cooler/freezerMaintain active signage and pricing in all departmental areasCare for signs, banners, and debris from daily operationsAccurately and efficiently handle cash, debit/credit, EBT/WIC, coupons, and vouchersRespond to customers, coworkers, and vendor questions and responses promptly and politelyProper usage of store phone and intercom systemsTo supervise/perform the checking of case and cooler temperatures 4 times daily utilizing the time keeping system to record each check.Work Environment Note:Inside work with transitions of heat/cold/humidity/dust from backdoor/compressors/cooler/freezer/preparation area.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work performed by the employees assigned to this job.
