Travel RN - Operating Room

American Traveler is hiring an experienced OR RN for a Level 1 trauma facility in Kansas City, KS, requiring strong scrub skills and DaVinci robot experience.

Job Details

• Work in the Operating Room (OR) of a large academic medical center in Kansas City, KS,
• Patient population includes complex cases such as DaVinci robot-assisted procedures, large head and neck cases, neuro spine, and ex-lap cases,
• Experience with ortho, general, trauma, GYN, urology, and plastics cases is preferred,
• Day shift schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM,
• No weekend requirements; set schedule,
• On-call required, up to 6 shifts per 13-week contract,
• Floating required to all ORs within the facility,
• Holiday coverage required if a holiday falls on a scheduled workday,
• 13-week contract,

Job Requirements

• Active KS RN license or compact RN license with KS privileges required,
• Current AHA BLS certification required,
• Minimum 2 years of OR nursing experience required,
• Level 1 trauma OR experience required,
• Strong scrub experience required,
• Familiarity with DaVinci robot cases required,
• Two professional references required for consideration,
• New graduates will not be considered,

Additional Information

• Previous travel nursing experience preferred,
• Orientation consists of Monday-Tuesday new employee orientation followed by Wednesday-Friday nursing orientation; offered every week during the summer,
• This is a nicotine-free facility,
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel candidates
