Travel Nursing Job Details Specialty: Medical-Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract Location: Boston, Massachusetts 02215 Start Date: February 1, 2027 Duration: 8 weeks Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470–$2,600 Hours: 36 hours per week Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts, with some 8-hour shifts included in the rotation Schedule: Rotating days, evenings, and nights; every other weekend and holidays required Assignment Environment: Medical-surgical float pool supporting approximately 15 inpatient units Call: No call required Scrubs: Any color Orientation: Weekly orientation, generally on Mondays Registered Nurse Job Requirements Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license required at the time of submission At least 3 years of recent, related Registered Nurse experience Previous travel nursing experience required Recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience required Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association Level I trauma experience required Epic electronic medical record experience required Experience in a teaching hospital and specialty-area expertise preferred Basic computer skills and the ability to navigate web-based applications Flexibility to float between inpatient units and adapt to assignments that may be provided close to the start of a shift Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities Deliver safe, comprehensive nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients across multiple inpatient units Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns appropriately Perform 12-lead EKGs and provide telemetry-focused patient assessment and intervention Administer medications and therapies, including Lasix infusions and nebulizer treatments Perform and monitor blood transfusions according to established standards Care for patients with neurological, cardiac, bariatric, general medical, surgical, gynecological, genitourinary, orthopedic, oncology, transplant, and vascular conditions Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary care team; respiratory therapists manage ventilators while RNs administer nebulizer treatments as appropriate Maintain accurate nursing documentation in Epic and communicate effectively during patient handoffs Adapt quickly to changing unit assignments while maintaining high standards of patient-centered care Apply now to join this Boston, Massachusetts travel nursing assignment and bring your medical-surgical telemetry expertise to a leading teaching hospital environment.
