This role involves assisting with healthcare delivery and patient management tailored to the needs of the practice at any given time.Essential Responsibilities:Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk patients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging as appropriate, while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.Ensure smooth healthcare service delivery throughout patient visits by maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records.Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining vital signs such as weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, respiratory rate, and gathering medical history and chief complaints.Observe and communicate abnormal patient signs to physicians, documenting findings thoroughly in medical records.Assist with testing and treatment procedures under physician supervision, including applying splints and dressings, managing sample medications, and arranging necessary patient testing or admissions.Support minor surgical preparations and physical exams, ensuring proper consents are obtained before invasive procedures or immunizations.Distribute educational materials and confirm patient understanding of treatment plans and medication usage.Perform laboratory tests and maintain laboratory logs as prescribed.Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, and ensuring cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and equipment.Carry out additional duties as assigned, adapting to evolving responsibilities.Education and Experience Required:Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant Program or an accredited Nursing Program is required.Work Schedule:Full-time, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with a 40-hour workweek.This opportunity is located in a welcoming healthcare environment serving the Midwest region of the United States.
