Founders Animal Hospital is a small animal veterinary practice located in Dripping Springs, Texas. We aim to build a team of compassionate, friendly, and skilled professionals. As a new clinic, our goal is to become a valued and trusted member of the surrounding community by being the reliable “Neighborhood Vet”. We will do this by offering high-quality medicine coupled with transparent client communication. Our customer service approach will be rooted in friendliness, courtesy, and compassion and will complement the “Neighborhood Vet” experience we will offer to our clients.

We are looking for Veterinary Technicians who love animals, are motivated, detail-oriented, and desire to learn and grow in the veterinary field. If you have a genuine love for animals and a strong desire to make a difference in their lives, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

- Assist veterinarians in routine medical procedures, surgeries, and emergency treatments

- Assist in laboratory tests, such as blood work, urinalysis, and microbiology samples

- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments under the guidance of the veterinary team

- Maintain accurate medical records and update patient charts

- Prepare and sanitize surgical equipment and examination rooms

- Monitor and care for hospitalized animals, ensuring their comfort and well-being

- Educate pet owners on proper animal care, medications, and post-operative instructions

- Provide support to the veterinary team in various tasks as needed

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician is a plus but not required

- Proficient in animal handling and restraint techniques

- Knowledge of common veterinary procedures, medications, and equipment

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle stressful situations with composure

- Genuine passion for animal welfare and commitment to providing the highest standard of care
