Contract Senior Corporate Counsel

We are looking for an accomplished, detail-oriented legal counsel to serve as Contract Senior Corporate Counsel for a long-term contract opportunity supporting an automotive manufacturing organization in Novi, Michigan. This in-house counsel position will provide practical, business-focused legal advice across employment matters, compliance considerations, and commercial transactions. The role is ideal for an attorney who can balance risk management with operational needs while partnering closely with business and HR leaders.Responsibilities:• Counsel internal stakeholders on workplace law issues, employee relations concerns, and related legal obligations affecting day-to-day operations.• Provide timely guidance to business leaders and HR partners on employment regulations, policy interpretation, and compliance-related questions.• Prepare, review, and negotiate a range of business agreements, including vendor contracts, supplier terms, confidentiality agreements, and other transactional documents.• Assess proposed contract language to identify legal exposure, operational impact, and commercial risk, then recommend practical solutions.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support broader corporate legal needs and help align legal strategy with business objectives.• Offer clear, solution-oriented advice that helps internal clients make informed decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
