As a Security Officer Access Control in Garner, IA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure environment. In this access control role, you will remain visible, provide strong customer service and communication, and contribute to security-related operations through teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Pay Rate: $19.12 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by following site-specific access control procedures and security-related policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and document access activity to help support controlled movement throughout the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including building perimeters, parking areas, and production-adjacent spaces, while reporting unusual activity and/or maintenance concerns.
• Assist with screening deliveries, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and supporting emergency response activities in accordance with post orders and location protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
