Build precision parts with a hands-on team. A&B Machine & Design is a family-owned precision machining company serving manufacturers across a range of industries. We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist / Set-Up professional who can prepare and prove out mill jobs, solve machining challenges, and help deliver accurate parts on schedule.

What you’ll do

·                     Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, work instructions, dimensions, and tolerances.

·                     Set up CNC vertical mills on existing programs and write new programs as needed; make offsets and process adjustments to bring parts to print.

·                     Work with operations leadership and machinists to prove-out new and existing programs and move jobs into production efficiently.

·                     Inspect first pieces and in-process parts using micrometers, calipers, gage pins, bore gages, CMM equipment, and other appropriate tools.

·                     Monitor machining, troubleshoot issues, and make sound adjustments to protect quality and productivity.

·                     Follow shop safety and quality procedures, communicate job status, and support teamwork and continuous improvement.

·                     Operate machines as production needs require, work overtime when needed, including occasional weekends or holidays.

What you’ll bring

·                     Five to seven years of CNC set-up/Programming experience on 3- or 4-axis machines, or an associate degree / trade-school CNC machining certificate with relevant experience.

·                     Strong vertical mill set-up/programming knowledge and the ability to read prints and apply GD&T, shop math, and measurement techniques.

·                     Careful problem-solving, attention to detail, reliable communication, and the ability to manage more than one task.

·                     Lathe set-up or operation, 5-axis / HMC experience, and CAD/CAM familiarity (Edgecam or similar) are a plus.

Schedule: Full-time, 8-hour days; overtime as needed.

Pay: Based on experience.
