License: BLS Certifications: CST preferred, BLS required

Must-Have: Experience in circulating various surgical case types. Comfortable learning and performing duties in Pre-op and PACU areas. Ability to monitor patients on a cardiac monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms. Comfortable scrubbing cases across multiple specialties.

Description: Immediate start needed. Interview process includes a simplified interview followed by manager approval. Three operating room suites and one GI Endoscopy room are available. Average number of cases performed daily is approximately 8-10. Case types include general surgeries (gallbladders, appendectomies, colectomies, hernia repairs), orthopedic surgeries (total joints, sports medicine), podiatry (toe amputation, bunionectomies), GYN (hysterectomies), OB (C-sections), endoscopic (colonoscopies, EGDs, bronchs), urology (TURPs, cystoscopies). No robotics, high-level traumas, or neuro cases are performed. Call requirement includes 4-8 call shifts per month and one weekend of call per month. Responses to call shifts are expected within 20 minutes. RNs will be required to take call independently after orientation. Weekend rotations involve call only, with major holidays being a call requirement. Department operates from Monday to Thursday, with closure on Fridays. Manager approval is needed for any requested time off. Surgical scrubs will be provided.
