Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients recovering from surgery, injury, or illness, and develop individualized treatment plans based on their specific needs. Utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques, including exercise programs, manual therapy, and assistive devices, to manage pain and enhance patient mobility. Record and document patient progress, treatment responses, and update treatment plans based on ongoing assessments. Educate patients, caregivers, and family members about treatment protocols, pain management strategies, and effective use of assistive technologies. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients, participating in multidisciplinary team meetings as required. Maintain up-to-date clinical skills and knowledge through ongoing education, networking with colleagues, and participating in professional development opportunities. Patient Population / Client Focus The primary patient sphere includes individuals of all ages, from children to the elderly, each presenting unique challenges and requiring tailored care plans. Our team is equipped to address various health conditions, from post-operative rehabilitation to chronic pain management. The goal is to restore independence and enhance the quality of life for all our patients. Qualifications A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program. A valid state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey. Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Proficiency with electronic medical records and basic computer skills. A flexible and adaptable approach to patient care, with a strong ability to perform physical activities. Preferred Experience While a minimum of two years of experience as a physical therapist is preferred, exceptional new graduates demonstrating strong clinical potential will also be considered. Experience in home care settings is a plus, enhancing the ability to deliver personalized care in a patient's home environment.
