Location Romulus, MI, 48174 About The Job Professional Yard Driver is responsible for safely moving and backing semi trailers at a major distribution center. Applicants Applicants must have experience driving and backing a 53' semi trailer. The ideal candidate will have previous Yard Driving experience and be able to back into tight spots. A strong candidate should also be good with time management, have an eye for detail, have the ability to remain calm under pressure, be physically fit and have a safety mindset. Job Details Full time work. $22/hr starting pay. Pay increase after 90 days and 1 year of employment (Based on performance/attendance). No CDL A required but must have 53' trailer experience. Shifts Available Sunday, Monday, Tuesday/6am-6pm, Wednesday/6am-12pm. Wednesday/12pm-6pm, Thursday, Friday, Saturday/6am-6pm. Skills Required Primary tasks include safely maneuvering 53' semi trailers: Backing and pulling trailers to/from dock doors and parking them onsite. Safely enter/exit switcher truck multiple times an hour. Place and remove wheel chocks and Salvo locks. Lift and open doors. No loading/unloading merchandise. Follow safety procedures.
