The Job: As an Engineer II, you’ll be part of our Global Tools & Storage team working as a hybrid employee. You’ll get to: Successfully support the design process to achieve all quality, performance, schedule and cost objectives in a cross-functional environment. Perform hands-on concept development, proto-typing, product testing, data collection and definition of product specifications. Carry out stack-ups and system analysis to ensure product assembly and functionality remain consistent throughout its lifetime. Investigate design issues & test failures, and identify, recommend and implement corrective actions to components. Construct 3D models to evaluate design options Be involved with cross-functional teams (Product Marketing, Reliability, Field Research) to help identify and define customer requirements and develop the tests to duplicate end user tasks Work in a core team of 3-4 engineers/designers to develop a product from start to finish, assure appropriate documentation is developed and maintained for component designs and engineering test results Support the builds of engineering, manufacturing and pilot lots to ensure that the products are assembled and tested in the correct way to ensure long term product quality Support the Engineering process for all engineering requirements to deliver a product that meets our history of guaranteed tough products The Person: You love to learn and grow and be acknowledged for your valuable contributions. You also have: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1 to 3 years of experience. Computer literate; MS Word, Power Point, Excel, 2D/3D CAD, FEA Have the ability to dissect a problem to help find the root cause and create a solution that addresses the issue.
