Job Title Vault Checker Weekend Nights Work Location Redstone Arsenal, AL 35898 Bldg 5400 Hours & Shift Part‑time (24 hrs/week). Shift: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM. Educational Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. Experience Qualifications 1‑2 years of experience in an office setting. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite and general computer operation. Phone and visitor greeting skills. Preferred: Experience with security regulations for secure buildings. Other Qualifications Resume submitted with the job application. Current or active secret‑level security clearance required. Authorized coverage under agency insurance for vehicle use; valid driver’s license and good driving record. Successful background check. Effective, tactful communication and confidentiality. Adequate oral, written, and mathematical skills. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with management and peers. Proven analytical and multi‑tasking skills. Superior listening, verbal, and written communication skills. Immediate Supervisor Project Manager Job Responsibilities Summary Perform scheduled vault checks to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity. Stay alert for unusual behavior, unlocked doors, or forced entry and report findings immediately. Oversee entry points by verifying identities and maintaining visitor logs and access control systems. Respond to alarms, assess situations, determine appropriate response, investigate causes, contact emergency services if needed, and neutralize threats. Essential Functions Walk 1.5 miles four times during a 12‑hour shift. Drive between designated buildings and other locations during day and night without issues. Maintain door checks on a 3‑hour rotation schedule; record all doorways in log sheets (SF 702). Read and respond to e‑mails from supervisors and customers. Proficiency in English (oral and written). Interact professionally with co‑workers, professionals, and other parties. Use Microsoft Office and specified government software. Comply with Operations Security and Information Security requirements. Arrive on time and ready for the assigned schedule. Provide high‑level customer service to patrons, coworkers, and others. Take direction, interact, and maintain open communication with supervisor or lead. Maintain a secret‑level security clearance. Working Conditions / Physical Requirements Adequate conversation for telephone use and emergency systems. Independent mobilization on all surfaces and in all situations. Safe movement around the work area. Retrieve items from high and low areas. Perception of size, temperature, shapes, and textures. Physical stamina for at least 12 hours per shift.
