Inventory Control Clerk

Kenworth Sales Co., a 38-location Kenworth and Isuzu truck dealership group is looking for an Inventory Control Clerk to join the team in our Chesapeake, Virginia location. Job Summary The primary function of the Inventory Control Clerk is to assist Management with the coordination and maintenance of parts inventory. Salary Minimum and Maximum: $20 - $25 per hour. Due to federally mandated DOT regulations, Kenworth Sales Company is a drug‑free workplace. Any offer of employment will be contingent on passing a pre‑employment drug screening. Duties and Responsibilities Assist with stock and emergency purchasing, reports, vendor stock and core returns, order levels, receiving and related functions. Run and update PACCAR reports, input all stock orders and assist with emergency orders daily. Keep prices current. Monitor and process credits, RMA's outstanding and shipping authorizations. File departmental paperwork. Assist Parts Manager with special projects as requested, including cycle counts and annual physical inventory count. Maintain good communications with team members to minimize mistakes and maximize teamwork. Qualifications Ability to read and comprehend English instructions and information. High school diploma or the equivalent. Clearly legible handwriting. Computer terminal data input, 10‑key calculator. 2 years general office experience with understanding of office procedures, including filing, correspondence, basic accounting. Knowledge of bills of lading, freight bills. Excellent organization and communication skills. Knowledge of Bills of Lading and Freight preferred but not required. Working Conditions This position involves both sedentary and other work. For part of the shift, employee will work at a desk in a warehouse setting doing paperwork, telephoning, and filing. For part of the shift, employee will stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach, moving about the dealership facility to communicate with managers, employees, and customers. Lift at least 50 lbs. without assistance on a daily basis. Will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, and a variety of other hazardous and nonhazardous materials.
