Registered Veterinary Technician

Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) - No On-Call / Flexible Schedule

At Animal Medical Center of Mid-America (AMCMA), we don't just practice medicine-we support second chances for animals. As a non-profit, AAHA-accredited veterinary hospital operating under the Humane Society of Missouri, 100% of our proceeds directly support animal rescue, rehabilitation, and adoption.

Out of all non-profit veterinary hospitals in the entire country, only 16 are AAHA-accredited, and we run two of them! That means top-tier medicine, state-of-the-art equipment, and a passion-driven crew that treats every patient like royalty.

If you're an RVT who wants to use your full scope of skills in an environment that values your brain as much as your big heart, welcome home.

What Makes AMCMA Different?

• Medicine with a Mission: You help owned pets stay healthy while directly supporting care for rescued animals awaiting adoption.
• High-Tech Playground: Digital radiography, ultrasound, laser therapy, hydrotherapy water treadmills, chiropractic care, and advanced surgical suites.
• Low-Stress Environment: We believe vet visits should feel safe, not scary.

A Day in Your Life at AMCMA

No two days are identical, but here's a sneak peek of what you'll be doing:

• Surgical Wingman/Wingwoman: Prepping patients, assisting veterinarians in high-end surgeries, and ensuring sterile field perfection.
• Client Champion & Educator: Teaching pet parents about preventative health, and answering all the "Is it normal if my cat does this?" questions.
• Diagnostic Detective: Running in-house lab equipment, taking high-quality digital X-rays, and performing dental scaling/radiographs.
• Treat Dispenser Extraordinaire: Spreading love (and high-value treats) to make patients feel right at home.
