Maintenance MechanicThe Maintenance Mechanic maintains, repairs, and installs a wide range of industrial equipment in a food manufacturing environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting mechanical and basic electrical issues, performing routine preventive maintenance, and supporting facility upgrades to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation of production equipment and building systems.Pay: $30 - $45/hr based on experienceShift: Third (3rd) shift: 10:30pm - 7:00am, Monday - FridayFirst (8:00am - 4:30pm) and Second (3:30pm - 12:00am) shifts available, too.ResponsibilitiesInspect equipment regularly, check operating conditions, and accurately log repair needs.Perform maintenance jobs as requested on daily work orders, ensuring timely completion and clear documentation.Repair pumps, blowers, conveyors, gear boxes, and other production and packaging equipment as needed.Adjust pulleys, belts, chains, and other moving parts to maintain proper operation and minimize downtime.Perform routine preventive maintenance, including changing oil and greasing equipment according to weekly and scheduled intervals.Install new equipment and assist with the physical preparation of piping and electrical wiring needed for facility changes and additions.Rebuild broken equipment and replace parts in accordance with factory specifications and manufacturer guidelines.Complete welding assignments as scheduled to repair or modify equipment and facility components.Follow all safety rules and procedures, and operate tools and equipment in accordance with established safety policies and department procedures.Track and record equipment test results to support troubleshooting and long-term equipment reliability.Complete work orders thoroughly, listing materials issued and used, and file all related paperwork with the appropriate personnel.Update equipment maintenance records and logs to ensure accurate maintenance history and compliance.Assist area staff and respond to maintenance needs from different departments in a timely and professional manner.Support routine building and facility maintenance tasks as assigned.Assist with equipment and supply ordering, ensuring accurate information and timely requests.Why Work Here?You will join a stable, production-focused organization that values its employees and invests in their well-being.
