See our benefits summary below.**POSITION SUMMARY:**The Feed Production Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently manufacturing and packaging high‐quality feed and mineral products. This role operates production equipment, follows established procedures, maintains a clean and safe work environment, and supports daily plant operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail‐oriented, and committed to producing consistent, high‐quality products while contributing to efficient plant operations.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:* Operate manufacturing, production, and packaging equipment* Package product and stack bags or bulk product onto pallets* Measure, prepare and add materials according to work instructions* Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move materials and finished goods* Assist with mixing or production processes as trained* Load and unload bulk materials from trucks or other deliveries* Perform routine equipment checks, report maintenance needs, and assist with basic repairs when trained* Follow inventory procedures and repair damaged bags or pallets as needed* Maintain a clean and safe work area; complete daily and weekly housekeeping tasks and documentation* Complete production, quality, and safety documentation accurately and on time* Follow all safety guidelines, wear required PPE, equipment lockout/tagout, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements* Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and resolve issues* Perform other duties as assigned**QUALIFICATIONS**:* High school diploma or equivalent required* Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or related experience is preferred* Experience operating industrial equipment, or willingness to learn and operate equipment safely* Forklift certification preferred; willingness to obtain certification with company support* Ability to read, write, and speak English and perform basic math calculations* Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality, safety, and teamwork* Effective teamwork, communication, and reliability skills* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities* Willingness to work in an indoor warehouse environment with temperature fluctuations due to seasonal weather conditions* Ability to lift up to 70 lbs., work at heights, and perform physical tasks in an industrial environment*Note: Job responsibilities may change over time based on business needs.***About Furst-McNess Company**:For more than a century, Furst-McNess Company has been a trusted leader in animal nutrition, delivering innovative feed, mineral, and management solutions to livestock producers across the United States. Ability to enter confined spaces. • Ability to learn and comply with GMP and regulatory requirements imposed on manufacturing facilities by the FDA, OSHA and EPA in regard to manufacturing of food and drug products. • Ability to work overtime as requested or required. • Good communication skills, both oral and written, and is capable of utilizing these skills within all levels of the Company as well as externally. • Ability to provide outstanding customer service to all associates and management staff, showing a sense of urgency relative to solving problems, performing assigned tasks, employee concerns, etc. • Ability to effectively organize work schedules and manage multiple assignments by utilizing time management skills to ensure day-to-day assignments and special projects are completed within guidelines agreed upon. • Ability to work as an effective team member within the premix department and company, as a whole. Willingness to pitch in and do work that may not be a specific part of the job description for the overall good of the department and company. • Ability to be flexible and be willing to change along with recommending changes that can enhance our ability to serve both internal and external customers more effectively and in a professional manner.
