Tech SupportIt is the mission of Willamette Leadership Academy to provide our cadets with the academic skills that will enable them to reach their personal career goals and provide them with the leadership skills and positive character traits that will enable them to be responsible citizens of their community. The leadership skills learned will allow the cadets to become more successful in school and improve their relationships with family, friends, and authority figures.Job DescriptionConfigures, tests, updates, and repairs computers and other office equipment.Performs regular preventive maintenance and diagnostic tests on computer systems.Assists computer operators with technical problems.Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.Refer major hardware or software problems or defective products to vendors or technicians for service.Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software, or peripheral equipment, following design or installation specifications.QualificationsAt least one year of tech support experience.One year of related training or college coursework (preferred).Additional InformationSalary: Starts at $23.65/hour DOEPart-time: 20 Hours/WeekThis position comes with a limited benefits package that includes:Limited MEC medical planVoluntary insurance options403b retirement plan after 1 yearFlexible spending accountEmployee assistance programGenerous personal and sick leaveProfessional developmentWe are a qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness and Teacher Loan Forgiveness programs.Evergreen provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
