Overview In need of a customer service-minded individual....The Outside Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the golf facility's outside services department and ensuring an exceptional experience for every guest. This position leads the outside service team, manages daily staffing and assignments, and maintains high standards for customer service, pace of play, and overall facility presentation. Key responsibilities include supervising bag drop and cart operations, coordinating cart staging and fleet management, assisting with tournament and outing operations, and ensuring carts, practice areas, and other outside service areas are properly maintained and organized. The Outside Service Manager will also train, schedule, and motivate staff while promoting a professional and welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a passion for golf and hospitality. Previous golf course, outside service, tournament, or customer service experience is preferred. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a fast-paced public golf environment, including weekends and holidays. This position plays an important role in creating a positive first and last impression for guests while supporting the facility's operational and financial goals. Open to a year-round position as well. Experience Required Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service, hospitality, recreation, retail, or another guest-focused environment. Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming experience for guests. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain professional and positive when handling customer concerns or challenging situations. Previous leadership, supervisory, or team-lead experience preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Previous golf course, resort, sports facility, or golf operations experience is preferred but not required. Preferred: Previous experience at a golf course, country club, resort, sports facility, or recreational facility Experience supervising or leading a team Knowledge of golf cart operations, bag service, tournament operations, or outside services Experience with tee-time or golf-course management systems CPR/First Aid certification Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a people-focused leader who takes pride in providing exceptional service. Essential Responsibilities Lead and oversee the daily operations of the outside services department to ensure a professional, welcoming, and efficient guest experience. Provide exceptional customer service from the time guests arrive until they leave the facility. Supervise, train, schedule, and motivate outside service staff while maintaining high standards of professionalism and service. Manage bag drop, golf cart staging, cart distribution, and cart return operations. Ensure golf carts, staging areas, bag drop areas, and other outside service areas are clean, organized, and properly maintained. Greet and assist guests with golf bags, carts, directions, course information, and other facility needs. Monitor the flow of golfers and work with the golf shop and golf operations team to support an efficient pace of play. Address guest questions, concerns, and service issues promptly and professionally. Assist with the setup, execution, and breakdown of tournaments, outings, leagues, and special events. Maintain accurate records of cart usage, outside service activities, and other operational information as required. Ensure staff follows facility policies, safety procedures, and customer service standards. Communicate daily operational needs, staffing concerns, and facility issues to the Director of Golf or appropriate manager. Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure the outside services area is properly secured.
