Job Opening Date: July 21, 2026 Job Status : This position is full time. HRDC also offers flexible schedules and a "reduced work week", which encourages full-time staff to use up to 4 paid hours weekly for their personal wellness. Salary: The minimum salary is $132,000. Final salary will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and organizational compensation practices. General Summary of Purpose of this Position: Through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the objectives of the organization, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) plays an integral, supportive role in providing financial leadership for the organization and all programming, projects and initiatives. The position is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the organization in compliance with a multitude of regulations and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, implementing best practices for a whole organization finance approach, and coming up with strategic plans to improve their company’s overall financial health. This position works closely with the CEO, Executive Team and Department Directors to review regular financial reports, identify investment opportunities and implement budgeting initiatives across the organization. As a member of HRDC's Executive Team, the CFO provides strategic leadership and governance to advance HRDC's mission and long-term sustainability. Working in partnership with the CEO and Board of Directors, the CFO helps identify and respond to evolving community needs, provides oversight to ensure fiscal responsibility, supports sound organizational governance, and contributes to strategic decision-making that strengthens the organization's impact. The CFO serves as a trusted advisor, promotes transparency, accountability, and effective stewardship of organizational resources, and helps ensure Board actions are informed, collaborative, and mission-focused. As an ambassador for HRDC, the CFO fosters productive relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and donors while advocating for the organization's mission and the individuals and families it serves. Required Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities that are required for success in this position. Experience: The following kinds of experience usually provide the required knowledge skills and abilities to perform the duties of this position: Five years of experience required Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Certified Management Accounting (CMA and not-for-profit accounting experience preferred Demonstrated computer experience and knowledge of data processing as it relates to accounting systems Education: The following course(s) of study or class work usually provides the required knowledge skills and abilities to perform the duties of this position: A bachelor’s degree in accounting or business with an accounting emphasis Skills & Knowledge: Knowledge of GAAP, federal, state, local, and private grant regulations and OMB Uniform Guidance Demonstrated computer experience and knowledge of data processing as it relates to accounting systems Must be committed to the mission of HRDC and possess an ability to model core values in a team setting. Ability to lead a team to provide for accurate and healthy financial outcomes Ability to read, interpret and implement governmental regulations, rules, and procedure manuals Ability work with minimal supervision and effectively manage workflow Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries Strong interpersonal and communication skills Exhibit self-motivation, high energy level, high level of organization and efficiency Demonstrate ability to make appropriate programmatic recommendations Effectively establishes and maintains positive working relationships with program managers and other team members and supports a culture of trust, integrity, and compassion. The position requires the ability to communicate financial data to non-financial people, help others interpret financial reports, interpret grant and contract regulations and implement financial procedures to ensure compliance with the same. Effectively disseminates information about program offerings Ensures compliance with program and performance standards Maintains professional demeanor in stressful situations Ability to assimilate and retain numerous federal and state requirements for a variety of programs Ability to prioritize duties in a fast paced environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
