Avg Daily Census: 25 Rooms: 8 Patient Age Group: Adults, Geriatrics Staffing Ratios: 1:5 Medication System: Pyxis Documentation: Epic Beacon Provider Support: Pharmacy, Social Services, Transportation, Unit Secretary Provider Coverage: Intensivist - Medical Oncologist available daily by phone; in house 2 days/week; NP available in-house 1-2 days/week Patient Diagnoses: Breast, bowel, bladder, brain, lung, gyn cancers, head and neck, prostate, pancreatic, lymphomas, multiple myelomas, chronic leukemias. Chronic anemia, MDS, MS, Ulcerative colitis/chron's disease, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis. Special Procedures/Unit Details: IV chemotherapy administration including bladder installations. Implanted port care, foley catheter installations, peripheral IV insertion, PICC line care. SQ/IM injections. Blood product administration Special Equipment: Alaris infusion pumps; CADD infusion pumps; lab centrifuge.
