Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for an experienced inpatient pharmacist to provide exceptional pharmaceutical care in a hospital setting. This contract role is based in Virginia Beach, VA, with a start date of September 28 and a duration of 13 weeks. Candidates must hold a valid Virginia pharmacy license and bring a strong background in inpatient pharmacy practice.

Schedule/Hours:

• Day shifts: 0630–1500, 0730–1600, 0900–1730, 1000–1830
• Evening shifts: 1300–2130, 1430–2300
• Overnight shifts: 1930–0730, 2030–0730

Responsibilities:

• Verify medication orders and enter orders accurately within the EMR system.
• Manage drug interactions, dosage adjustments including renal dosing, and oversee pain-controlled analgesia.
• Administer and monitor antibiotic therapies and anticoagulants.
• Provide pharmacokinetic dosing consultations.
• Support chemotherapy medication management, where applicable.
• Collaborate with medical and nursing staff to optimize patient outcomes.
• Utilize EPIC for charting and medication order processing.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Virginia pharmacy license (mandatory).
• Minimum of 1-year inpatient pharmacy experience.
• Proficiency with intravenous medications, pain control, antibiotics, and drug interaction management.
• EPIC EMR proficiency is required.
• Experience with chemotherapy protocols, anticoagulants, pharmacokinetic dosing, and renal dosing is preferred.
• Prior travel experience is a plus but not required.
