Admissions And Recruitment SpecialistThe Admissions and Recruitment Specialist reports directly to the Director of Admissions and Recruiting and is responsible for supporting Lamar State College Orange's student recruitment and enrollment efforts by developing relationships with prospective students, families, high school partners, community organizations, and other stakeholders. The position represents the college at recruitment events, college fairs, high school visits, community events, and on-campus activities while providing prospective students with accurate information about academic programs, admissions requirements, enrollment processes, and student services.Duties and responsibilities shall include, but not be limited to the following:Student Recruitment & OutreachDevelop and implement recruitment strategies to attract prospective students to LSCO.Recruit prospective students through high school visits, college fairs, community events, campus events, presentations, and individual appointments.Build and maintain relationships with high school counselors, administrators, community organizations, workforce partners, and other student-serving organizations.Conduct engaging presentations about LSCO's academic programs, admissions process, financial aid, student life, and campus opportunities.Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students throughout the recruitment and admissions process.Maintain consistent communication and follow-up with prospective students to encourage application, enrollment, and attendance.Analyze recruitment and enrollment data to identify opportunities and areas requiring additional outreach.Conduct regular outreach and follow-up with prospective students.Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities, contacts, visits, and outcomes.Assist with dual credit to freshmen and transfer recruitment populationsAny additional recruitment needsEvents & Campus RecruitmentPlan, coordinate, and participate in recruitment events, including open houses, campus tours, college fairs, high school events, signing days, information sessions, orientations and other enrollment activities.Assist with new student recruitment events and orientation activities.Host prospective students and families during campus visits.Represent LSCO at community and college-access events.Assist with recruitment-related marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns.Admissions GuidanceEducate prospective students on admissions requirements, application procedures, deadlines, academic programs, and enrollment steps.Assist prospective students with navigating the admissions process and connecting them with appropriate campus resources.Identify barriers preventing prospective students from completing the enrollment process and coordinate appropriate follow-up.Provide accurate and timely information regarding LSCO programs, services, costs, student life, and enrollment opportunities.Refer students to financial aid, advising, testing, accessibility services, and other departments as appropriate.CRM & Data ManagementMaintain accurate and timely records of prospective student interactions, recruitment activities, communications, and follow-up in the college's CRM.Document school visits, presentations, events, phone calls, emails, appointments, and other recruitment activities.Utilize CRM data to manage prospective student communication and recruitment campaigns.Track recruitment activity and outcomes and provide regular reports to the Director of Admissions & Recruiting.Ensure timely follow-up with prospective students and completion of assigned recruitment tasks.Relationship DevelopmentEstablish and maintain strong working relationships with high school counselors, dual credit partners, community organizations, businesses, workforce agencies, and other external partners.Serve as a positive ambassador for LSCO within the community.Participate in community outreach initiatives designed to increase awareness of LSCO and its academic and student support offerings.Identify opportunities to expand LSCO's presence within assigned communities and recruitment markets.Other job functions include serving on college task forces, committees, and councils as required; assisting in the day-to-day operations within the student services division providing support where needed; offering exceptional customer service in a student-centered, professional environment; evenings, weekends, and travel will be required; attending ceremonial and student activities; assisting in planning and managing meetings, events, and trainings; engaging in professional development activities, giving presentations, and participating in panel discussions; collaborating with Admissions, Advising, Financial Aid, Marketing, Student Life, and academic departments to support student recruitment and enrollment; and performing other related duties as assigned.Minimum/Preferred Qualifications:General Qualifications/Requirements:Education: Requires a minimum of an associate degree from an accredited college or equivalent work experience; bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university is preferred.Experience: Two years of work experience in customer service, public education, or in education with a focus on student success, advising, counseling, career placement or other related initiatives. Related experience will also be considered.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Above average skills in the utilization of computer systems, Banner, Argos, and Microsoft Office applications. Experience in recruitment and career interest assessment/advising and student success. An ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, priorities, budgets, and personalities; maintain a high profile in community activities. An ability to develop, recommend and oversee creative student success initiative. Ability to create proposals and represent them to constituent groups.
