Lead PreK Teacher

Position Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will lead a classroom of students through a successful school year by creating and implementing an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with school and state standards. Our goal is to foster a welcoming, safe, and enriching learning environment while equipping students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, compassionate, creative, and passionate about teaching and student development. Responsibilities Plan and implement a classroom curriculum that aligns with school and state standards Encourage the development of students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills Prepare and organize instructional and learning materials Assign, review, and provide constructive feedback on homework and classwork as appropriate Take and maintain accurate student attendance records Assess student performance and provide meaningful feedback Document and monitor students’ academic and developmental progress Collaborate with fellow teachers and school staff to promote a safe and supportive learning environment Report and document behavioral incidents in accordance with school policies Qualifications Valid state-recognized teaching credential (CDA, TCC, Associate Degree, or higher) Previous teaching experience (K–12 preferred) Strong understanding of child development principles and effective classroom management strategies Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines with the ability to strictly adhere to policies Excellent verbal and written communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr DECATUR SCHOLARS ACADEMY INC
