Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Job description:

General Duties of Position:

• This position requires the physical pulling and installation of cable in commercial environments.
• Install, terminate and test a variety of cable types such as: Cat6, Cat6a, as well as single and multimode fiber optic cable
• Install a variety of types of data equipment including but not limited to: data racks, patch panels, cable trays, grounding, etc.
• Properly document all information on cable and equipment, correctly label prints and create as-builts.
• Understand, comply with and enforce company and jobsite safety requirements
• Read and understand technical drawings, plans, project specifications and work orders.
• Work effectively as a member of a team.
• Complete jobs within established time frames while ensuring the highest quality work and excellent customer service.

Basic Qualifications Required for Position:

• 2 or more years of experience installing Cat6 or Cat6a or Fiber Optic cable in a commercial environment is REQUIRED.
• Must posses a high school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week and overtime as required. Normal operating hours are 7am to 4pm however work hours may adjust depending upon customer requirements.
• Must pass all background checks and drug screening. Must pass criminal background check going past 7 years.
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must have a positive attitude and be a team player
• Ceiling work, work on a lift and/or ladder is required.
• Most work is indoors however, occasional outdoor work is required
