Registered Nurse Navigator - Psychiatry

Job Summary This role is a Remote RN Nurse Navigator for the Outpatient Psychiatry program at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. It requires regular employment, full‑time schedule of Monday‑Friday 8:00AM–4:30PM, with no weekend, night or holiday work. Although the role is remote, you must live in Missouri or Illinois to attend on‑site meetings as required. Key Responsibilities Act as liaison among management staff, physicians, managed care, community organizations and patients. Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes. Coordinate treatment efforts, promote quality improvement, collect outcomes data and recommend process improvements. Provide referrals and support for follow‑up care for uninsured or underinsured patients. Apply the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation) in all patient encounters. Assist with processing diagnostic results, highlighting significant values to providers. Diagnose and educate patients on medication therapies, dosages, interactions, side effects and routes. Develop educational protocols, family counseling, and general public information. Maintain a state of alertness and safe work practices. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements Graduate of an accredited nursing program or education equivalency that leads to licensure. Minimum three (3) years of registered nurse experience, preferred Pediatric and/or Psychiatry experience. Pre‑existing authorization to work in the U.S. and a valid ID. Physical ability to: stand and walk continuously, lift or carry items 0‑25lb (frequently) and 25‑50lb (occasionally), sit, reach, handle keyboards, recognize colors and odors, hear alarms, drive occasionally, and bend or kneel as needed. Valid professional licenses: Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) or Compact State RN and Basic Life Support (BLS HCP) certification.
