About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00-19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Advanced skills needed: Med/surg and PCU experience Description: The unit has a total of 12 beds. The patient-to-nurse ratio for ICU patients is 2:1. For med/surg and PCU patients, the ratio is 4:1. Staffing includes Charge RN, RNs, and Patient Care Technicians. Common types of equipment used include ventilators and specialty beds. Occasionally, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) is utilized. Documentation is managed through a Meditech system. Scheduling requires a minimum of 4 weekend shifts per schedule, which covers a 4-week period. Contract labor will float to meet staffing needs first. Candidates are required to have BLS and ACLS certifications. The dress code for the unit is navy scrubs. It is encouraged to include links to department videos or highlight any outstanding team awards. Additional information about new equipment, technology, and staff tenure can be included to attract prospective candidates.
