Compensation: $19-$20.00/Hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Partner: PrideStaff (On behalf of a premier local Medical Practice)
Role Overview
Pridestaff is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Medical Receptionist to join a thriving medical practice in Howell. This role serves as the operational backbone of the clinic, ensuring that patients receive seamless care from the moment they call to the moment they check out.
The ideal candidate blends the technical knowledge of a medical receptionist with the organizational expertise of a high-level administrative professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Coordination: Manage high-volume multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and coordinate specialized patient testing and follow-up care.
- Clinical Operations: Maintain precise electronic medical records (EMR) and filing systems, ensuring 100% accuracy and HIPAA compliance.
- Insurance & Billing: Facilitate insurance verifications, obtain prior authorizations for treatments, and assist with medical coding/billing processes.
- Office Administration: Manage incoming/outgoing correspondence, medical transcription, and inventory oversight for clinical supplies and equipment.
- Efficiency Management: Support the clinical team by streamlining office workflows and performing general clerical duties as needed to ensure an optimal patient experience.
Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a medical office or clinical setting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology, basic coding, and insurance claim processing.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in medical databases, EMR software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
